COPx is created by hundreds of people from senior UN officials to business people to NGO leaders to housewives, connected by understanding the urgent necessity of climate action. We might disagree about anything else, but the deep concern for our home and humanity is what unites us

 

We are as diverse as the world, but we share these basic principles:

 

 

1. PRESERVATION
   Everything we do is to preserve our natural habitat for humanity. While we will not always agree on the how, we all agree on the central importance of keeping our life support system working.
    
2. PEACE
   This is a peaceful movement. We will not accept violence, hate speech or demeaning any of us.
    
3. SECURITY
   Even peaceful demonstrations can be risky at times. We do request all COPx organizers to have the safety and integrity of everyone engaged as their top priority.
    
4. DIVERSITY
   We are people of all walks of global society, creeds, gender and everything else that makes each one of us special. Our movement is built on profound respect that diversity is our strength.
    
5. VOICE
   COPx is a global force of like-minded people who understand the existential threat climate change poses and will raise this common voice at crucial occasions.
    
6. UNITY
   We are celebrating life. Everything we do is geared towards keeping the most wonderful planet we know about alive. We can (and we will) disagree on many things. We might be of opposite political colours or business opponents. But we all can only play our games if the chessboard is not on fire. So, we believe that fighting climate change is the unifying thing to do. Climate change is our common enemy, and together we will overcome it.
